I'm impressed. Fuller Honda did a nice job on my front bumper. The only problem is that you can definitely see the difference between the old paint and new paint when comparing it to the hood and fenders.
Next step is the clutch and transmission. Driving it home was giving me a good deal of difficulty getting into second gear. I had to pull pretty hard. If Ryan does not go to T-Hill this weekend, he might be able to have the clutch done by the weekend and the tranny done early next week.

Does the color match, or does the new paint just look better?

Looks like the bumper might be a touch darker. That could be due to fading of the rest of my car over the last 6 years.

I guess you could try and get them to custom match it?

Yeah, I thought the point of having the dealership repair the bumper was that they'd be better able to match the paint? A decent match isn't too much to ask, even for a faded car. They should be able to get pretty close.

You can definitely see the swirl marks on the hood and fenders where the bumper is really clean. I should have priced out having the whole car done.

Ryan is doing the clutch on Thursday. He got me an ACT performance clutch and lightweight flywheel for $1,000. I'm hoping it fixes everything and there is no need to look at the tranny, but I'm not optimistic.

My parts came in today and Ryan will be wrking on it. The insurance company is sending someone on Monday to look at the pressure plate and ask Ryan questions. Getting the transmission covered might be a stretch. I may have to look at a used one to save on cost since I have a feeling it won't be covered.

Got the car back today...WOW!! The clutch is super sensitive. I stalled the car 4 times just taking it for a spin. Grabs really close to the floor and quickly. You can really feel the difference with the lightweight flywheel too. With the already strong engine, the intake, and now the flywheel, baby's got some real kick to it. I let Jen drive it too. She didn't stall it until she was on a slight incline and then trying to pull into the driveway. Shifter feels back to normal, so no tranny damage. The old clutch only had a millimeter of surface left, so it was perfect timing to break. It was actually broken in one spot and had a crack in another spot. There's no doubt that if I had gone onto the track for the 4th session, it probably would have given out completely and broke down under the stress, shutting down the session and needing a tow. That would have sucked. Now, I'm sure I'll be ready for Laguna Seca on March 18

That is good news. I could not see the fall damaging anything in that part of the driveline.

More good news today. Ryan called me this morning and said a lady from the ins co dropped by. He showed her the damage and she said ok and that tey would settle up with me from the estimate I provided. Cost of a SP track day - $175 Cost of trailer and gas - $500 Having your bumper, clutch, and flywheel replaced by the ins co for the cost of a comp deductible ($250) - PRICELESS!
