On Sunday, November 18, I am traveling up to Sonoma with Larmoe (Larry) to drive Sears Point.  We are running with Checkered Flag Racing Association, a non-profit club that offers a lot of track time for very low prices.  They do require a membership, but you can take part in one of their track days as a guest.  I became a member back in June after running with them at Buttonwillow in April.

The weekend is working up to be a nice little vacation as I am driving up Friday, doing a little wine touring with a few S2000's on Saturday, driving the track Sunday and heading home Monday.

I will have my digital video camera mounted and recording every session.  Should be a great time.

Wish I was going with you.  I might be tempted to just go anyways, and then try to get in if somebody doesn't show up.

You should come up anyway.  At the least, you can go wine touring with us Saturday and go to the track with us on Sunday.  If you don't get to drive, I'll take you out in my car and Larry would probably take you out in his too.

I ran the idea past my boss, and she did not seem to mind.  Do you have an itinerary for your wine tour such that I could set-up hotel rooms, etc?

Perry and I were talking about it last night.  We're going to map it out pretty soon.  I know 2 of the wineries we're doing are Andretti and Coppola.  Everything else is still being debated.

As far as a hotel, I'll be staying at the Monkeymaker Hotel.  I know your allergies won't permit that but we'll find something close.

I guess I could crash in the garage again, if it is still open.

Sure, John, you're always welcome at our house.  Smiley   Wish you weren't allergic to the kitties.

Thanks for the room.

Nobody wishes that they were not allergic to cats more than me.  When I was young, I was put in the hospital several times after visiting people with cats.  Even though the problems have decreased to the point where I can't even say when my last attack was, I have such bad memories of them that I am very cautious around kitties.

Hi John  Cheesy You were fine at our house at the BBQ. You and Vivian were in the house for a long time because of the heat outside and it was air conditioned inside.  Tell Vivian I said hello.

Hey Vinny,  Niebaum-Coppola is now called Rubicon Estate. Coppola changed the name this past summer.

Only a week away!  I'm pretty excited.  Car is running great.

I talked to Larry today and he is planning on arriving into town between noon and 1 PM, so he may be able to catch a winery and some roads and dinner with us.

John, get your car ready to run on Sunday.  Larry had to cancel last minute because of work.  I just emailed the President to see if you can replace him in the lineup.  Hopefully, I'll know before the end of today.

I would need to know soon.  I have a crack in the windshield that may need to be fixed.  It does not effect my vision, but it may not pass tech inspection.  I also need to put new brake pads on.  Plus there may be other things I need to consider.

Brakes are easy.  Perry and I can help you change those in 30 minutes.

Gotta have the parts.  Also would be nice to resurface the rotors, since the pads come with a "transfer layer" that conditions the new rotor to the pad material.  This is what is going on when you "bed in" the pads.
