After a last minute decision to go driving this past weekend with John, Morgan, and Aaron, John and I stopped off at a little wine tasting place near Julian before heading home. We tried 6 reds for only $6. We both bought the Sangiovese which was very good.
Leaving, both of us were thinking of hosting a wine tour down here. Obviously, it won't be S2KCA sponsored since I am one of the planners, but I bet we can get a very large contingent of CA people that we all know well to get quite a turnout. Temecula is pretty central and should attract people from San Diego, Orange County, LA, Santa Barbara, and hopefully Mike & Kate, Perry & Andie, and Ahmed from the Bay area.
I've already thought of the routes. Now I just need to find the wines.
