First race of the season is only a week away.  I'll have my DVR taping the race since I am going to be in Monterey for my anniversary.

Lots of story lines beginning the year.  Can Kimi repeat?  Will Hamilton finally capture the championship or will he show that he wasn't as good without Fernando's presence?  How will Alonso do with Renault after the terrible season they had without him?

I just checked Speedtv and it has the race scheduled for Saturday night, 8:30 pm pre-race and 9:00 pm live coverage.

Watched the race last night.  Pretty dominant performance by Hamilton.  Big disputes all week about the Coulthard-Massa crash.  I thought Cubehead should have given him room and he drove down into Massa, causing the wreck.  Barrichello was DQ'd on the red light leaving the pits.  I don't agree with the rule that you can't re-fuel under the Safety Car.  Kimi made a great pass and then forgot he had to make a right turn.  That cost him any chance of a podium after the incredible start he got.  Bourdais has to be happy with scoring points in his first race, although, i don't know how he would have placed if most of the cars had been running at the end.  The attrition rate was incredible with Raikonen and Bourdais scoring points even though they had retired.

Next up: Malaysian GP which is looking to have wet conditions.  Should be interesting to see this one given there are no more driver aids.

I have not watched F1 in over a decade, but it may be getting more interesting.  We will see how the next couple go, and maybe I will start to watch it.
