We usually get together for a drive every month.  This was the first month I think we didn't do one since last May or June or something.  We usually drive Palomar Mountain and a few other roads, have breakfast in Julian and then sometimes do it back in the reverse direction.  I think we always get at least 4 or 5 cars.  The last drive, I also advertised on S2ki and we had 12 or 14 cars.  It also got me banned because I put a link on the thread to this forum.

For technical information, this site is obviously quite young and doesn't have the postings.  I go to S2000.com for that.  They are about 1/3 the size of S2KCA with a better bunch of people.

I was supposed to do a drive this weekend and bailed since I did not want to put gas in the car.  I don't think I will be doing too many of those 400+ mile fun runs in the near future.  I wish I was closer in to the drive starting points.

In SoCal this is the happening place for those of us who are not into the S2KCA or S2KI drama.

ya when i drive palomar i wind up putting on around 300ish miles between getting there, doing the drive, and getting home. its exhausting but incredibly fun. i just have to drag my ass out of bed at 6am to meet up with you guys in time. one of these days we gota do a lazy-bum drive and start at like noon

The only thing about starting late is that there is an enormous amount of traffic doing 25 mph and making the drive zero fun.  Usually the drive in the reverse direction going down Palomar South Grade at around noon is second gear coasting and brakes because of everyone being out.

Welcome from S2KCA and hope you stay a while.  Vinny brought me over here a while back and it is a great little group.  Pretty quiet but usually good for  amonthly get together/drive.

I still frequent S2KI (since I am not banned - yet) unlike our man Vinny.  There is a wealth of info over there as well as a number of idiots so you have to take it all with a grain of salt.
