How do I get out of LA?

Just some quick videos.  Will post more later.

Interesting that I can still edit this...

The car ran well.  It was probably 95+ outside, but my temps stayed below 205 with an IAT of ~110. I pulled 2 degrees of timing to be on the safe side. It had a small stumble issue when I was in traffic, and I noticed that it seemed to be running too rich part throttle.  This seemed to go away at WOT, so I did not worry about it.  I read the plugs halfway through and they looked really good.  Watching the video I noticed that I was running way too rich.  I would like to be at ~11.5:1, and I was really at 10.5:1 or less.  This equates to ~20 hp on this car.  It is still sucking oil through the SC, too.  I need to find a solution to that.  I had some belt tracking issues based on the belt dust on the SC.

The stock brakes are letting me down.  It has some Hawk pads and ATE fluid from the OP (I think.)  I have not been able to get the tires to lock up, and there are several points where you can see me miss the turns while I was waiting for the car to slow down.  A BBK will be going on next month.

I am finally getting a feel for the car.  Got some rotation in a couple of corners, and some over-rotation once.  Very neutral handling on a very soft set-up.  I think I will get a EDFC so I can adjust the suspension while driving.  I had it set nearly full soft for the last couple of outings.  I also did nothing with the air pressure in the tires.  Next time...

This was like a short oval with some left turns thrown in for good measure.  The hardest ones were right handers.  I never really got a good line through the last turn, but then if I had better brakes I know what I would have liked to try.  For the most part, I was happy with my first outing there.  I ran a 1:22:xx, and know that I can do it much better.  From my data logger, I see that my braking really allows for fade.  I am hard on the brakes early and then ease off when I see that I am going to make it.  I will try to take a snapshot of the Performance Tools output and post up later.  And if anyone wants some .pbn files, just speak up.

Post the .pbn files.  I want to look at the data.  Which Hawk pads are you running?  Full race pads??

All of the files exceed your upload size.  I will send them in an e-mail.

It is a small course.  I don't have a clue what the pads are, but I can't get lock-up.  Even trying to.

Did the pads come in a blue box or a black box?

I think if you changed the size limit for that file type to 500kb, then it would be good for up to 25 minutes worth of readings.  I see you really upped the limit, that will be more than enough.  If I need to post them up, just let me know.

The brakes came with the car.  They have lasted well enough, but I have not been happy with the performance.  I thought this day would be the end of them, but I think I could go another.  I am waiting for 949 Racing to come out with a race brake kit and then I will upgrade.  I am hoping that will be this month.

You probably have the HP Plus which are good for street and track.  I believe if you go full race pads, you will see a difference.  You may want to upgrade your rotors too.  I started warping brand new stock rotors after 1 track day.
