The first time I did Buttonwillow Raceway, I went in the counter-clockwise direction.  Back in April, I did the clockwise direction.  To my surprise, clockwise was harder and faster than CC.  I couldn't believe the significant amount of speed entering the infield section and at the entrance to lost hill.  Also, the last turn of the esses has to be done nearly perfect or you can run out of track REALLY easy because you are close to 100 mph.

I finally had a good day in the Miata last weekend running this.  I took it very easy on the car since I drove it to the track and it had to make it back.  I did not floor it much or take it to the redline until the last session of the day.  But, as far as I can tell, it did just perfectly.

The fast lap of the day was a 2:18:90  Not great, but I was leaving a bunch on the table until I have some faith in the ride.  I have some video upstairs on the Mac, but I am not sure what to do with it.  Never posted anything like that before.

Anyways, here is the .dbn for Vinny to play with...  I figure it gives him something to do besides surfing for pron during his recovery. Wink

Super-charger?  Is that what that noise was?  I thought that was just John screaming the whole time. laugh  You know, like a little kid with his match-box car.

The intake opens into the car so you hear every small change in the throttle position.  A small change makes a sucking noise.  A big change makes it scream.

It was fun, wish ya'll could have been there.  Going to try the infield at Fontana Saturday.  Then I will have to park it for a couple of months.  Maybe a Buttonwillow in August, and then try for the CFRA again.

Great videos, Larry!  Looked like a great time.  I wish I could have gone with you guys but just couldn't justify the expenses to Jen when i was going to be out of work and she was working extra double-time shifts to make up for it.
