What a wacky race Sunday.  It was looking all McLaren the entire weekend, with nobody really coming close to Hamilton's pace.  Massa was able to qualify 3rd, but Kimi only qualified in 6th.

The race itself was a complete 180 degree turnaraound from what the preview was.  Massa had an incredible start and one helluva ballsy move in passing Hamilton going into the first turn.  From there, he just ran away from the field.  It looked like Massa's Ferrari would run away with an easy victory when Hamilton blew a left front tire and limped around into the pits only to re-emerged in 13th place.

Kovaleinen was some 40 seconds behind when with only 3 laps remaining, Massa's engine let go, giving Heikki the lead to get his first career GP victory.  The unfortunate happenings of Massa and Hamilton along with a late pass gave a podium finish to Kimi Raikonen who had a rather unspectacular race and entire weekend.  Amazingly, Hamilton was able to claw his way back to 5th place for a respectable finish.

Because of the engine problem, Kimi was able to take 2nd place in the points behind Hamilton, still in the lead by 5 points while Massa drops to 3rd place with either 3 or 4 DNF's this year.  Unbelievable battle so far.  Can anyone take control?
