I had Ryan do a compression test today and I got some weird numbers:

#1) 182
#2) 197
#3) 210
#4) 218

i know he did it a little bit differently and maybe that's the reason for the number variance, but I'm not sure.  He had everything disconnected and had me turn the car over with the gas pedal down.  So, the car was unable to start.

Manual says the high should be 228 and the low 200, so the #1 reading bothers me a bit.  Of course the engine is still running as strong as ever   Huh?

I see a pattern and suspect the testing done.  Redo it.  Hell, the tool can be had cheap.  Get one and lean how to do it yourself.

As for the brake issue...

I told you to double check your work.  Especially knowing that you don't have much experience doing mechanic work.  I saw the exact same thing done by a guy with a Mini at the AAA Speedway Speedventures event.  Except he broke the caliper trying to get it to work.

I wrapped my header just prior to the track day.  When I pulled it to install the new motor mounts I found clear wear signs where the header had hit the body and the bell housing.  D'oh.  The wrap decreased the amount of room it had to move around and caused the problems I was having.
