I just read that the A's will be opening the '08 season in Japan against the Red Sox.  All those miles for just a 2 game series (March 22-23).  The schedule will be finalized at the Winter Meetings next month.

Now my winter depression sets in, until mid Feb.  The only thing to get me through is Stanford Basketball.

What about the NFL?  I think football has become more the american pastime over baseball.
