With all the frequent flyer miles and Marriott points we've accumulated, Jen and I were thinking of going to China for 2 weeks and being there for the grand prix.  I know we have enough to get the room for free or to get free airfare.  I just have to find out which way will have the least amount of money coming out of my pocket.

Anyone else interested in going?  John/Vivian??

We will look into it.  She will not be interested in the race, but she has other things to do in Shanghai.

Jen really wants to go and she wants to see the race too, maybe with an opportunity to meet Kimi Raikonen or Lewis Hamilton.

I think I'd rather see the Canadian GP, but I certainly wouldn't kick Shanghai out of bed.  It doesn't matter, Andie and I can't afford either.

I used to want to go to Hockenheim, before they shortened the track.  I just looked at the '08 schedule and they'll be back at Hockenheim in July.  I think we'll have to pass on this one too.

I think we are going.  She wants to put in for vacation at that time.

I will bring it up again tonight.  Planning that far out is hard for us.  And considering that we run a service business, that is a hard time to take off.  But I want to go.

Trying to find where to get tickets, I'm getting mixed results on the schedule.  According to GP Tours, it says Oct, a ticket search brings up May 4.  If it's May, I can't go.  That's too early.

Ok...the race is Oct 12, so we'll go from Oct 4-18.

Nope...just found another site that says Oct 19.  Until the schedule is set, I can't plan anything.   Angry

Where do you get tickets?

I found a site online, but am waiting until a definite date is set.

I emailed the site asking when tickets would be available.
